Toilet Paper Holder And Other Life Lessons

  1. One of the many things my mama taught me is ‘your presence is a gift‘ do not be everywhere like a wedding cake. Be that person who people are always surprised to see at an event. Attach value to your presence.
  2. Most days, you will look at your life and think, “Wow! I was never the one who was supposed to get all this.” Stay grateful. Always.
  3. Never start doing your business in the toilet without checking the toilet paper holder first.
  4. On unrequited love: ‘is it wrong to confess to someone just because nothing can come of it? Letting someone go well is a feeling that’s as warm as the feeling of love…who knows if the memory of being loved could become the strength to live on for the rest of your/their life? You never know.
  5. Keep your childhood innocence; it’s the most important thing.
  6. Compatibility is an exercise in patience.
  7. What to do if you’re stood up on a date? Go ahead and watch that movie by yourself, go eat that food by yourself! Never waste a good outfit!
  8. Every blessing comes with a burden. You can’t have one without the other. To whom much is given much is required. God can only bless you to the level of your ability to stand the burden. If you can’t handle the burden don’t pray for the blessing. Bishop/uncle TD Jakes
  9. Want to get something in your life? You can’t plan when you have it; you have to plan before you get it.
  10. The real test of commitment is to go through all seasons: the good and the bad. Every stage requires a little bit more from you. Are you able to love them in the seasons you don’t like them?
